2006 Dear Parents,
Welcome to the 2006-2007
school year! This year our new theme chosen
by the Diocese of Trenton is “THE
GOOD NEWS IN EDUCATION BY THE SEA.”
As we look to the new school
year, we continue to be committed to a quality
Catholic Education.. This PTA handbook has
been developed as a guide for you to familiarize
yourself with the St. Catharine School PTA
committees, programs, events and fundraisers
that will be sponsored by the PTA throughout
the coming year.
One of the things that makes
St. Catharine so special is the opportunity
for parents to take part in the child’s
school activities throughout the school
year. The success of these programs and
events described on the following pages
is dependent upon the volunteer efforts
of each child’s parents. While we
recognize that your time is valuable, we
encourage you to sign up for one or more
of the committees and events. Our children
adopt a greater sense of pride in our school
when they see us collectively strive to
create a well-balanced religious and scholastic
environment for them. Becoming involved
in our fundraisers and activities reinforces
this belief. As you are aware, the financial
success of our fundraising efforts is used
to address the enrichment of each child’s
education.
We, as parents, must step
up to the plate and demonstrate the “Good
News in Education by the sea” by being
an active participant in our child’s
St. Catharine School education. The goal
of the PTA is to incorporate this theme
into our projects for the upcoming school
year. Our PTA Board and looks forward to
working with each of you throughout the
school year.
Sincerely,
Mary Kay Leddy
