This valentine's Day,
St. Catharine Students sent care packages
to Marine
soldiers stationed in Iraq. Thank you letters,
$520.00 in phone cards and
requested items, such as foot powder and Chap-stick,
totalling 392 lbs were
sent through an Adopt-A-Marine program. This
program is designed to boost
the morale of enlisted Marines serving on
the frontlines.
In addition, St. Catharine students made hundreds
of Valentine Day cards
that were distributed to the residents of
4 local Assisted Living Centers.
Homebound parishioners were the recipients
of sun catchers painted by the
4th graders.
Whether home or abroad, St. Catharine students
are spreading the message
of love this Valentine's Day. |
