St. Kizito School in
Uganda |
|
| |
Sister Carole will be returned to
Uganda for the third time in August. She traveled
with Jim Parker, a documentary film maker from Riverview
Studios in Bordentown and Mary Goss, a religious
education director from St. Monica's Parish in Jackson.
Under the leadership of Bishop John Smith of the
Diocese of Trenton, they had developed a spiritual
and physical parnership with the Diocese of Kasana-Luweero
in Uganda.
St. Catharine School has adopted St. Kizito School
in Uganda and collected donations from various projects.
Our SCS students raised money for 35 desks, an expanded
piggery project, latrines and a water tank. Recent
funds from this year's "field of dreams"
project will provide a vegetable garden that will
grow food for future lunches for the children.
Siste Carole will be sharing pictures with the the
SCS Community next year again and providing opportunities
for continuing the pen-pal opportunity throughout
the grades.
